Welcome to CPRailPhotos.com. Although the gallery has been launched, it is far from complete! The purpose is to provide you with photos for research and/or modelling purposes. You will find that the gallery is very similar to our sister site - http://www.cnrphotos.com - with a few minor differences:

We are trying to maintain higher-res scans on the website (up to 2400 pixels wide)

All images now carry a digital watermark from Digimarc to protect the images. This has become a necessity after images were "borrowed" from our sister site for other websites, eBay auctions, manufacturers' promotional material, etc.

And last but not least - we ask that you help by contributing photos! Please understand that the cost of acquiring slides, scanners, servers, digital watermarks, domain name registrations, etc comes out of our pockets - and all that we ask is that you share some photos! First and foremost - we are model railroaders - and we are simply making our contribution to the model railroading community - so help us out by sharing! And if you do want to share - here are a couple of requests:

Please include date, location (whenever possible) and photographer's name! Without a name, or collection info we will not post the photo in the gallery - we just want to ensure that credit is given where due.

Ensure the scans are of a high resolution (at least 2400x1600). For older and rare images - we will gladly take a lower resolution. You don't need to crop or adjust the color, we have software here and can do most of the work!

Make sure that you have the photographer's permission!

Although action shots are nice - we prefer side and 3/4 shots since they benefit us modelers the most!
